MIKALA BOON

ABOUT ME
I'm a Clinical Psychologist with ADHD specializing in diagnostic and therapeutic services for adult ADHD.
I’m married, with two children, and I am enjoying being back living and working in my home town of Christchurch.
EXPERIENCE
After seeking my own ADHD assessment and support as an adult, I discovered how difficult it can be to find trusted professionals with expertise in this area. ADHD Unlimited provides diagnostic assessments and holistic, evidence-based therapeutic support for adult ADHD.

Before starting ADHD Unlimited, I had over 10 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist in public health services. I have worked with individuals through services such as Intellectual Disability Services, Forensic Mental Health Services, ACC Sensitive Claims, and I have been a Specialist Assessor under the IDCCR Act.

IMPORTANT NEWS:
-
It's that time of the year again! I will be going on holiday from 18th December to 26th January. Services will resume as usual following the break and I look forward to both the holiday AND coming back refreshed.
-
I have no clear idea what to expect with the prescribing changes planned in February, and if you are considering or seeking an ADHD assessment currently, it may be worthwhile asking your GP directly about their plans for February at your next appointment, or ask at their reception to be kept informed.

Other local Clinical Psychologists have provided some information about this here and here.
